Dehydrated Castor Oil

Dehydrated Castor Oil (DCO) is a unique light colored semi-drying oil which imparts fine gloss, toughness, good flexibility, adhesion, and chemical and water resistance. Dehydrated Castor Oil is characterized by its high iodine index, due to the existing conjugation, since a new double bond is formed, therefore is a very drying oil.

Product Description

Dehydration process is carried out at about 250 degree Celsius in the presence of catalysts

This oil is used in the industry to improve processing and rapid ingredient dispersion during mixing. Further, Dehydrated Castor Oil produces a film that dries more quickly than Linseed oil.

Dehydrated Castor Oil can be used as drying oil for surface coatings. Drying modifier oil for alkyl and epoxy resins. Drying oil of low viscosity. It is reactive diluents oil for varnishes, fat enamel, and fat inks that produce films very water resistant.

More Useful Applications

  • Primary Binder for Enamels
  • Clear varnishes and hard finish coatings.
  • Manufacturing of sealant, caulks, sealants and inks
